Welcome to John Day Golf Club! We invite guests, members, young and old to come and enjoy our clubhouse and golf course. Located 1 mile West of John Day city limits we are easy to find and offer a unique and challenging golf experience. If you have not stopped by for a round of golf and a chat with the locals, you are overdue. Our tree lined fairways and elevation changes will test your game and our friendly staff will have you planning a return visit.
Visitors Welcome
If you find yourself near John Day in Eastern Oregon, stop in for a round of golf, a bucket of balls, putting on the practice green, or just a cold beverage on the patio. Rental carts are available as well as pull carts. Bring your kids up and introduce them to the game that we all love.

We are a golf club, not a country club. Everybody is welcome. You do not need a reason to stop by. Check out one of the best views in town from our patio while you watch golfers send towering approach shots into the green.

The city of John Day is located in Eastern Oregon in Grant County next to Canyon City. Where U.S. routes 26 and 395 intersect. It is a historical city incorporated in 1901 and named after the John Day River which flows through town. The John Day River was named after John Day, a famous hunter and trapper in early 19th century. John Day, OR is famous for gold mining, cattle ranching, timber harvesting, lumber milling, fossil beds, and having one of the best golf courses in Eastern Oregon. The population of the city is about 1750 residents with elevation around 3200 feet.
